TREK FLU CARD PRO WIRELESS SD CARD

The Flu Card Pro’s size is no different from that of a standard SD card. Once inserted into a camera, press the play/preview button on the camera and you will find four control images preloaded on the card. The ‘Receiver’ and ‘Sender’ images trigger commands for photo sharing between two devices that use Flu Cards. ‘Settings/Review’ is for configuration of access points and FTP servers, and ‘Server Upload’ is for uploading images directly to an FTP server. To access these controls, delete the respective image; the controls in the SD card detect that as a command to trigger the mode it has to operate on. The SD card contains a Wi-Fi N radio for networking, a shake sensor for configuration, and a buzzer for user feedback. Instructions on the Trek website help you to establish a regular network or ad-hoc connectivity between two devices.
VERDICT: A simple yet powerful add-on to any digital camera to transfer images wirelessly.
FOR: Convenience, Wi-Fi N, 8 GB of storage.
AGAINST: User manual not bundled.
